The FMBC
Redlands Youth Group is made up of members from 7th grade up to 21 years
old. These youth are active members of FMBC Redlands,
participating in the worship services and serving in and through
the ministries of the church. The Youth Group holds Bible
studies, has monthly business meetings where they learn proper parliamentary
business procedures, and participates in planned activities and fundraisers
throughout the year. Monthly you will find them at Redland's Market Night
reaching out to the community and inviting them to attend our
church. Regularly, the youth meet together with other youth from various
sister churches in the area for Youth Rallies. The Youth Group also enjoys
annual camping events such as the winter retreat and summer camp where they
always have a great time - and a lot of food, fellowship and fun! All of
the Youth Group activities are important, however its most
important function, as with every ministry of the church, is to carry out
the great commission given by Christ Himself in
Matthew 28:18-20 which is to "go" and share the Gospel of Jesus
Christ with a lost and dying world through personal witnessing and
testimony.
We pray that we will continue to follow God as He
guides us within our work, that lost souls we come in contact with will
recognize their desperate need to accept the gift of eternal life through faith
in Jesus Christ.
It is our prayer that we will continue to grow in
Godly wisdom and spiritual discernment, both as a church and as individuals,
always lifting up one another in love.
Purpose Statement
To unite the youth as an organized group under the
First Missionary Baptist Church of Redlands; to establish goals and actively
work together to achieve those goals for the glory and honor of God; to
reinforce unity within the Group through shared devotions, fellowship, and
striving together to reach common goals with a oneness of mind and heart; and to
prepare and strengthen the youth to be active leaders in the church, faithful
and always seeking the will of the Lord.
Youth Group Verse
"Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be
likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing
be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem
other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every
man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in
Christ Jesus." Philippians 2:2-5
